I’ve just unpacked and set-up the printer, with the printer came two additional grey cables, one with two flat female ends and the other labelled 301 with two white connectors. These do not appear in the manual on the parts list and there is no mention of how to install or use them.
Also I’ve got the printer set-up and have gone through the set-up, i’ve loaded the orange PLA into the left side. I’ve tried printing a sample from the SD card, it goes through the motions and the bed moves down but nothing is being printed. I’m guessing it wants the right side loaded, but how do I unload the PLA from the left, I’ve tried the front panel utilities unload, but nothing happens.
Thank you,
They are spares. The most common issue is stepper cables going out mainly for the X and Y so stock up!!
Left is what you want for PLA since the fan is on that side.
What slicer?
To be honest, I’m finding it very painful…although the printer came with an SD card, my iMAC will not recognise it. I’ve managed to print one of the samples directly from the SD card whilst loaded in the printer, but that is all.
Is there anywhere I can download the software thats on the SD card?
There is no requirement that both extruders be loaded for it to work. I have often run it with only the right (default as I remember) extruder loaded…
Regards
Atm, I’ve just powered up the printer and printed from the SD card installed in it using the built in LCD display and menu. I need help to get it installed on my MAC as my iMAC won’t read the SD card.
They are spare parts so no need to worry
Its an exe file, not for an iMAC ?
I’m not even sure since I have a windows HP. Try Cura it’s free. Or you can contact them and ask qidi3d@qd3dprinter.com
I’ve downloaded Cura but I cannot find QIDITECH as a supported printer, so I’ve created a custom printer which allows me to open and view models, but I have no print option.
I have posted questions on the support forums.

Did the SD card not come with a SD card reader?

Doh, yes it did, just found it, thank you!
Those are spare replacement cables for the end stops (the two with flat conncetors), and stepper motors (the white connectors). You don’t need them now. Save them for when a cable gets busted.
Thanks to input from others I have managed to establish that the cables are spares and that there was also include a USB SD Card reader, I have installed the MakerBot on my iMAC and updated to the newest version, but for some reason it runs terribly slow.
My iMAC is the highest spec iMAC available and has:
4GHz Intel Code i7
16GB 1867 Mhz DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4GB
Its also running macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.1
Why it MakerBot so slow?

No clue haven’t used makerbot since I got the printer. I would invest in Simplify 3D or try their slicer here…
the newest qidi slicer, please download from the below link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1iYje4hJzv12b8ZyMwdN\_PqgvYcU\_oBvl
QIDI Print 4.2.9 version
Do you have a link to the mac version?
You don’t want the newest version of Makerbot. It is proprietary for their machines now. It think 2.4 or something is the last one that is ok.
I’m checking on a mac version but it may be a bit.
