I just got a QiDi Tech x-one and am having troubles with printing gcode from Cura. I downloaded the Cura that came with the printer 15.04.6 and copied some print settings from a different forum to get a gcode. When I save that to the SD card and try to run it on the printer, the extruder will go through some motions and beep a lot, then move to the back right corner and beep constantly while making frantic movements. So I’m wondering if anyone else experienced similar difficulties when trying to print a custom model for the first time.

Sounds like you have a bad stepper cable. It happens! Send QIDI an email with a video of the problem and they will get it straightened out right away.
