Qidi tech x-one 2 loose usb connection

I have a qidi tech x-one 2 that I am trying to set up octoprint to run the printer and the raspberry pi b+ does not detect the printer via usb. So I tried to connect the printer to my computer using cura and it does not detect it. The usb type b end of the cord that plugs into the printer seems kind of loose. Has anyone else had this issue? or know a solution?

It is not a super snug fit but should be fine unless damaged.
