can anyone help me with my ctc printer? so up until a couple of days ago my printer was working perfectley, all of a sudden its not. i start a print off and instead of printing the object, the filament is getting pushed up around the nozzle and not onto the bed. the bed is level so thats not the problem. and ive recentley cleaned the interior of the nozzle and the ptfe tube, also none of the settings have been altered. ideas anyone?

try heating the nozzle with a blow torch and burn the stuck filament inside.

Try adjusting the Z distance. Sounds like something has moved so you are slightly too far from the bed. Same thing happened to me. You can adjust the printer or set it in the program. At least in Simplify3D.

i run the printer through makerware. would you happen to know how much id have to change the z distance? thank you for your help

I believe this is simple bed prep. The gap between the nozzle and bed is either to large or the bed surface needs to be prepped for better adhesion. I personally use glass and Aquanet for the majority of my needs. If your printing PLA on blue tape try wiping it with ISO alcohol before printing. For ABS use kapton tape wiped with acetone. This is a mechanical issue and can not be fixed with software.

I experienced this when levelling the bed with too thicker paper.A normal a4 sheet of photo copy paper, with just a pinch from the (clean) nozzle seems to work well.

yeah my issue ended up being a problem with the bed levelling, thank god it wasnt anything serious. back yo printing now
