Hi all,

I have recently started 3D printing with the Anet A8 and what always seems to happen is that once the bottom layer that fully set down, the item that i’m printing seems to slip and move somewere else on the Hotbed, but the printer still continues to print in the same place, seriously messing up the print. Does anyone know what I could do about it?

Thanks in advance, Dain

What material you use.

Give more info about printer settings.

Check internet for how to stick model to hotbed

Use hairspray on a glass plate or directly to the hotbed, not on tape because it Will stick to the underside of your 3d print

Ok so what others have said is correct. But I would take it a bit further.

You can try all this stuff but you will not be fixing the core problem. heated or not if your bed is leveled and the height is correct from your nozzle to the bed then you should have no issues with adhesion.

So first thing first. do the paper test to make sure your bed is level and the nozzle height is proper.

If using PLA no heated bed is required however I find that if i use at least a 50c bed temp I will not get any lifting of edges and my prints stick very well.

Last thing I did is I stopped using Glass or a bare build plate, and switched to Buildtak, I highly suggest you get it.

contact me if you have other questions. we can do a skype call so we can check out any other issues you may have.

Good Luck

Chris.

do you have any pics of your 1st layer it all starts there if your nozzle height is not set right or your bed not level nothing else will go right post a pic or two let see what ya got
