I am a Delta printer novice. Since I tried to upgrade the firmware on my Atom 2.0 delta, the printer is doing strange things such as:

when I try to do an AUTO LEVEL the effector only moves part way down and begins to sample points in space well above the bed. After the first point, it moves across but UP to continue sampling (it would seem that there is something wrong with the Z movement). It continues to do this for each point and so finishes sampling at a point much higher than it started!! The effector appears to be moving to the correct X and Y positions. Needless to say, if I try to print, printing begins way above the bed. The problem began when I removed the nozzle to clear a blockage then decided to upgrade the firmware. I purchased this printer second hand and it was working perfectly before this. Any suggestions? Is there anyone in the Sydney area who works on/repairs Delta printers?

Thanks

Brian

Hi Brian,

You should make the wires and the plastic cover to allow go down easily without any force or tension as this would make the effector cover to rise and activate the Z-Ensdtop.

Anyway and if you need further info you can get a faster answer in Atom community on slack o facebook: http://www.atom3dp.com/en/support/

Hope it helps!
