I have two identical tubular shapes. The orange one has a circular hole in the side. The white one does not.
I’d like to use the orange tube to as a hole, then align the objects to create a shape that is the same as the hole in the orange tube.
However, it doesn’t work for some reason. Once combined, it’s as if the orange tube isn’t big enough. Can anyone explain this or offer a workaround?
Here are the objects that demonstrate this problem. 3D design Tube problem | Tinkercad
My goal is to be able to make a series of positive/negative objects that fit together for dual extruding. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

When doing this like this its best to scale up the part you want to use it does not have to be much 0.1 - 0.2 % is usually enough then you want to subtract the enlarged part from the solid. just to clarify I meant to copy and scale up the part you want to subtract which is your white part, put it in position and remove it from your orange part then delete the scaled part and continue to use your normal size parts.

Any suggestions to help James overcome his issue, @tinkercad? Cheers
Hi James
Not quite sure what you mean, exactly? Are you trying to create a curved disc by subtracting one cylinder from the other?
If you could clarify for me, I maybe able to draw it for you?
Best regards
Adam
