Marvin looks great no matter what material he is printed in, but he is particularly stylish in Stainless Steel. Part PLA, part Steel, Proto-pasta Stainless Steel 18 (SSPLA) turns your affordable PLA-compatible printer into a jewelry, costume, prop, figurine, robot-making factory. Workable with familiar metal-working techniques, Proto-pasta Stainless Steel PLA can left as-printed for a cast aestetic and brushed or polished for a bright metalic look. Compliment the ageless elegance of SSPLA with Magnetic Iron (FEPLA) for a previously unacheiveable rusty patina. Creatives unite!

@AlexDick this is super cool! Can’t believe the comparrison between the pre and post polish finish. Where can we buy SSPLA?

Looking forward to try them out next year. I’m just a little worried that the metal particles would wear out the nozzle quite a bit more than normal plastics. All my printers have brass nozzles. Would be nice to try and get the manufacturers make them in stainless steel or apply some harder coatings…

This looks awesome, but i am als curious which nozzle te use .35 or .5 mm and the wear of the nozzle.

But still cool to print with

They just replyed me and adviced to better print with a .5 mm nozzle and that some wear is expected after intensive use

Still an extra dimension for the regulair 3D printer!

cool i signed up for updates, down to sample one of everything if you can do a sample pack
