Dimension Polymers produces industrial quality filament from local recycled ABS.

http://dimensionpolymers.com/

  • Made from 95% recycled ABS
  • 1.75mm filament diameter (Dimensional Accuracy +/- 0.05mm)
  • Recommended nozzle temperature of 210°C - 240°C
  • Recommended heated platform temperature 100°C - 110°C

This allows you to make everything you print almost fully recycled.

The quality of the prints are satisfactory at my settings with the surface finish usually showing very small bubble marks within the layers.

My first impressions of the filament are all positive and it printed as well as any ABS I’ve spent money on. The part is shown below and the strength can be attested to by the display case I used the brackets in.

Here are the settings that I used:

  • Printer: Replicator 1
  • Extruding temperature: 230C
  • Heated bed temperature: 110C
  • Layer height: 0.3mm
  • Infill: 12%
  • Print speed 88mm/s

Nice looking prints. I wish that it would have a lower price. It’s just about the same price for brand new filament. Recycled filament at a lower price would give a greater incentive for people to adopt it.
