Refil produces industrial quality fully recycled filament. This allows you to make everything you print fully recycled. The big question of course is, will this influence the quality of the prints?
In order to test this we ordered our own spool of filament and set out to do some testprints here at the 3D Hubs HQ. And who better to print than mr. Marvin himself.
So what do you think? My conclusion is that there definitely doesn’t need to be a quality reduction in fact this filament was quite easy to print with. There are some minor flaws around Marvins eyes and keyring but these are probably the result of the print speed and perhaps the temperature so we will definitely print some more models soon to see if this is indeed the case.
Here are the settings that I used:
- Printer: Leapfrog Creatr HS
- Extruding temperature: 225C
- Heated bed temperature: 80C
- Layer height: 0,3mm
- Infill: 20%
- Print speed 133mm/s

Bram
