Hello,
I need to print a 3D hand grenade to make a plaster mold for a ceramic sculpture.

I have found a few 3D models but they’re all real life size and I’d need it to be about 30cm high.
However when I try to get a quote, the price rises a LOT (from 30€-150€ to 600-2000€ depending on the model)

As I’m really new to 3D printing, I was wondering if that was normal ( do 10cm high little plastic objects usually cost 150€ ? and is 1200€ a normal price for a 30cm high object ?) Or did I make a mistake when rescaling the models I used or something ? (maybe some common mistakes, I don’t know…)

And If not, How could I have a 30cm high hand grenade 3D printed for about 100€-200€ ? (and is it possible ?)

Thank you for your help !

Helena

Update : I’ve been able to reduce the price significantly and now got quotes at 150€ . This was done by hollowing the model, and looking at different hubs (by clicking on the “manually select a standard PLA service” link at the bottom of the quote page)
