Reinstalled Flashforge twice, hoping to connect successfully to the unit, but it does not show up. The option is grayed out in the software, and I can only print from the SD card. Any ideas on how to get the Creator Pro to show up? I already tried adding it in the Devices and Printers dialog of Control Panel. Running WIN10, 64 bit.
@protosound Do you have makerware installed on your computer? This is maker bots software. If you do let me know and I can help you fix your issue.
The Creator Pro does not print from Flashprint directly, only from the SD card. Direct connection is for firmware upgrade.
i do not have Makerware. Can you tell me where/how to get it? Thanks!
Well, I suppose a firmware upgrade would be nice as well. How might one directly connect so as to upgrade firmware?
Not sure about connecting directly. It is actually better to print from the SD card. I know you can print directly from Simplfy3D but I’ve never done it.
Makerbot website. Don’t use as a slicer.
Plug the printer in via USB then go to the tools menu or the menu just left of help, I forget which and am not in front of it, and select firmware upgrade.
Well if you had makerware it might cause some of the issues connecting with the other program because of the background services. But since you don’t have it, that is not the problem.
