Out of the box the printer was great, no issues.

Then it started failing to complete prints, I’d have molten mess, or poor infill accuracy or just first layer issues.

Rebuilt the extruder, new throat and nozzle, no change.

I thought maybe my slicer settings were somehow off, so I tried printing the pre sliced files that came with the printer as the slicer has not touched those and they were good before.

Awful, and watching the printer it seems to just wander off every now and again when doing the chess piece, leaving a trail of PLA behind it.

Nothing I’ve done aside from slowing it down to 30% seemed to make any improvement, clearly something is broke.

Could it be a board problem?

Removing cura from the equation and printing the included files confirms to me it’s a printer issue for sure.

I’ve had the extruder apart, no wear on the gear, spring has not compressed.

belts are as tight as before, and the frame braces I printed early on are intact and holding firm.

I’m about ready to toss the thing in the garbage at this point, really don’t want to buy a new board, only to find it is not the board.

And I’ve never been able to get usb comms with the thing so I can’t check extruder cal and such
