Hi! I was hoping someone could help me out! I am pretty new to my 3D printer, just got it for Christmas, and and having some problems printing certain files. My printer will print the test files that came loaded on the SD card with it (some cubes and a traffic cone) no problem, however it will not print any other files, either ones I’ve downloaded or modeled myself. The extruder will move as though its printing but will not extrude any plastic. All the files, both the ones I’ve had success with and not have been .xg3 and I’ve printed (or tried to print) them all directly from the SD card. Thanks so much for your help in advance!

Hi @goblin it would help us a lot if you can tell us what printer it is that you have, and what slicing software you’re using.

Are you able to extrude filament “manually”, i.e. by using the software or a control panel?

Yup it’s likely that people on here can help but it’s important that we know the printer and slicer software - many printers can only print certain file formats, so it may simply be that you need to use a different slicer.

what EXACTLY is happening. Does it start to print, then stop. are the steppers moving? More info!
