I know that the best solution would be to try try try until i get the results that I like but I was wondering if someone could help get me going in the right direction. I have a Kossel Mini Delta printer and I want to fine tune my setting for the best resolution. I don’t care about fast prints I want them to look good right away and not need much more sanding/polishing. I also primarily use PLA. Also use the .4mm nozzle that came with it and slicer software is Slic3r or Repetier which uses slic3r.
My question is what are the best setting for printing at .1mm resolution? Do I want to have more perimeters/shells so that the outer layers bond well? Do I want to print the perimeter fast or slow? Really hoping anyone can share their experiences and help me get going. As well as which settings that would be best to mess with.

For 100 Micron (.1mm) prints I usually use 8 Top/6 Bottom/4 Shells - 20-40mm/s base speed, Outlines at 70% speed, Infill at 80% speed, and supports at 60% speed.
As for trying again and again, get the speed dialed in to where your parts exterior has the look you want then change the layers/shells accordingly.

Alot of it depends on what you are printing, i strictly print PLA, and usually print 5-10 bottom layers, and sometimes 15-20 top layers to prevent the infill from showing through. Speed wise you need to just find what works with your printer.
