Hi all,

Just tested the above on my MB Rep 2 - printed fine. (still to test on my UM2) but i’m now trying to polish/burnish to bring out the surface effect - ain’t having much luck! Course wire wool, sand paper, etc. isn’t really doing it. Seen some videos using ‘stone tumblers’ which looks promising. But before i go to the expense of one of those, has anyone any pointers to achieving the metal surface effect? cheers

Hi,

i used sandpaper for smoothing the surface (cleaning up) and fine steel wool for getting some shine. You could also use brass brushes. As polish i used some normal metal polish that orignialy was inteded for car parts.

You need to get some really fine towel, microfibre is what i used. Don’t worry if the shine doesn’t appear instandly, first of all you will get some black dirt showing up on the towel, keep polishing until you whiped all black stuff off the part.

I have added pictures of polished CopperFill and BronzeFill
