Cura, standard setting in QuickPrint. Type a Machine, Large 11" print. Starting out, small separate part of print lowest is very porous, but once it joins up with main body of print everything becomes normal.
What causes this? Thanks

Looks to me like it retracts a bit at the end of each extrusion, and then probably primes a bit at the start of the next, and it looks like it’s not priming as much as its retracting.
Whoa! Gonna have to digest that. Seems to be a problem in the whole general area.
If this is indeed the problem I would expect it to show up on any small print, not just a small print next to a large one
That seems to be the case.I have upgraded Cura to newest release and will run tests. Support at Type A Machines said same thing. Lower retraction from 60mm/s&1.6 length to 40mm/s& 1mm length. Thanks gain for helping out a new printer!
Retraction not the problem. I think it has to do with temp vs. flow rate.
