Hi,

I am looking to purchase pmma filament but unfortunately can not find a company that sells it. I heard its great for ceramic shell castings, better than using wax prints. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Hey @yafshar, check out www.rigid.ink. They seem to carry one type of PMMA and ship internationally.

TreeD(http://treedfilaments.com/) and Plasty Mladec (http://www.filament-pm.cz/en/?stranka=1&kategorie=18) are also selling PMMA filaments.

If you search specific plastics, you can probably find them on www.filaments.directory.

Good luck

Thank you both!

Has anyone used this material or knows the best brand of pmma to use? We want to use it on our new printer and since I am unfamiliar with it, I am trying to get the best brand/quality?

Never used PMMA filament or filaments from those brands.

It’s probably not the easiest filament to print with.

Be aware that it’s not because it’s PMMA that’s 3D printed objects printed with PMMA will be suitable for casting.

I would suggest to ask your question directly to those brands. Treed and Plasty Mladec are normally very responsive.

Give me news about your experimentations

Thank you,

I just emailed them both. If we are able to print with it, I will share my discoveries.

Rigid Ink carries it also - https://rigid.ink/products/pmma-1-75-mm-0-03-mm-tolerance

E3d also - http://e3d-online.com/F-E3D-175-PMMA-GREEN

I have a feeling you didn’t do a google search for pmma filament, those were some of the first hits i got.
