I have the 2.0a and I bought some pla filament and for some reason can’t get the temperatures right.

What are some recommended ranges for the nozzle and the bed?

I have tried in intervals of 5 between 165-180 and 60-90 on the bed.

PLA temperatures vary pretty heavily by brand and color, but there aren’t too many PLAs that print well under 180C or so. I’d go between 190C and 210C just to be safe.

As for the bed, I’ve always used 70C, but a lot of people report 60-65C working fine. Anything above 70C is arguably unnecessary, since it would be above the glass transition temperature of PLA.

I run PLA (hatchbox or xyzprinting) at 198c and the bed at 45c for the first layer then i tell the bed to drop to 20c but it never gets below 32c.

If if you run PLA too hot it will clog. Brand will dictate temps.

Mine generally runs PLA from 190 to 200, and 45 to 50, bed temp. Really anything between 190 and 220.

Like JB said. Above 215 or 220, PLA gets soft and flexible, before reaching the nozzle, and clogs.
