I am looking for some PLA powder rather than pellets or filaments. Does any of you know how I can find it?

What are your plans with the powder, why does it have to be PLA and why powder? If you give us more information we might be able to help you out with alternatives when noone knows where to get PLA powder.

I want to mix the PLA with another powder, and then make the filament. I had impression that I can have a more homogeneous material if they are both powders.

The nylon that you mentioned seems a very good option, yet PLA will definitely help me. in this respect.

Ah ok, now I get, what you are planning. Something similar to conductive filament / carbon fibre enhanced filament or such ?

Depending on what chemicals you want to add you could use pellets without any problem. When you extrude pellets to filament they get fused with the chemicals, you could even use a double screw extruder to blend in other chemicals.
