Hey guys,
do you know any manufacturers who fabricate/sell such a compound? Within the scope of my master thesis, I need to fabricate my own high temperature resistant PLA and compounding my own stuff would be too time-consuming.
Thanks in advance!

Your university has to be very proud to have such dedicated students…

Compounding is just not a part of my thesis this is about researching and in agreement with my university.
I can’t make promises, but you might want to try contacting dasfilament.de.
He’s in Braunschweig, a pretty nice guy and just finished his master thesis on some 3d printing materials himself.
He might be able to mix up a batch for you.

I would consider contacting Colorfabb, they produce PLA blends (PLA mixed with PHA as the basis and then even added metal particles or wood fibres). They might be able to get that done for you, however I have no idea how expensive that might be.
If your PLA HT compound should be 3d printable then I think that there are a lot of challenges to overcome to make that material properly printable.
Good luck,

Sorry then, i misunderstood the part where you say you have to make the compound
I just ordered some High Temp PLA myself from Raise3d.com they claim their temp for softening is around 140 degrees which is almost the double of normal PLA
Good luck on your studies
Hi,
Actually, we are a manufacturer to supply PLA with high temperature resistant and compounding. But sorry to tell you , we are in China, if it’s ok for you, please contact me in this thread or with an email to my email ID: charliechpaung@gmial.com directly.
Please reply me if any other questions.
Good day!
You can get PLA-HT filament in the online-store : http://www.multec.de/
The filament is from good quality and easy to print. It’s heat-resistant up to 90°C but I mostly use it for all parts because of the nice material behavior.
Have fun!
If you’re still interested I can send you samples of PLA-HT from our Friends at Noctuo.
