Overlapping objects, when printed is the overlapping area height a sum or just that of the thicker object (yes, I'm a newbie)

Do overlapping objects result in additive height in the print or just the height of the tallest object?

Thank you for your question, could you possibly provide a screenshot of the object you’re referring to? My first guess would be that that the overlapping area is simply absorbed by the thicker/taller object.

The software that prepares the model for printing will typically merge the two during slicing, so just the height of the tallest object.

I do agree with Robin, if you post a picture, it would be helpful.
