My CR-10S (dual leadscrews) just arrived, but I have run into a problem. After the first layer, which usually looks perfect, the layers look over-extruded and ugly. I read an earlier thread about this problem with a regular CR-10, and the solution was to loosen the roller opposite the z-axis stepper. I tried loosening both rollers (because I have two z-steppers), but could not get them very loose. This slight loosening made no difference in the print quality.
I’m using Esun silver PLA plus. The provided filament was no better. I’m printing with .2mm layers, 210C on the nozzle, 60C on the bed, and 20 percent infill. I have printed between 190 and 220, 55-65, 20-80 infill, and tried flow rates from 80-115. I am currently using 80 percent flow rate because it looked the least bad.
