The show will start at 12:00 and finish at around 20:00 with the opportunity to come and go as you please throughout the day.

There will be various talks by leading design professionals from architecture to product design and lighting as well as workshops and demo’s suited for students and professionals who are curious about 3D printing and how it’s being utilised within the design process.

Brands such as Wacom, 3D Systems, Ultimaker and Makerbot will also be exhibiting there if you are looking to gain insight into their technologies.

If you wish to come along or to find out more information please follow this link where you can register for the show.

Have a good day!

I have some friends based in London who are studying design courses, can I bring them along too?

Hello Assad,

Of course you can bring your friends

It’s open to anybody but would be of most interest to people who follow 3D printing or design related news.
Just make sure that they register for a space through the links in the original post.

Regards,

- Stewart

Hello Stuart, What time are the talks on at? I’m in work until 5:30 so ill miss most of the show and was just wondering if I would be able to catch any talks from about 6:00? Thanks.

Hi George,

The talks start from 19:00 as like yourself most people will be in work before then.
There will be complimentary refreshments being served from 18:00 too so id get along just for that

It’s mostly the workshops that will be running throughout the day.

Sweet. I’m new to 3D printing and thought I’d set up here to try and sell a few things. What kind of workshops will you be doing In the day? I might try and take a half day off work and come along a bit earlier. I notice that ultimaker will be there? Will you be doing workshops on those?

Yes, During the day there will be workshops for total beginners (how does a 3D printer work) through to more technical aspects such as how to design 3D files for optimised printing and tricks with settings. We will mostly be using an Ultimaker 2 for this and Spaceclaim to design with. Exact times of these workshops are still to be confirmed but we will probably be running two of each on the day. Demo’s will also be running constantly through the day.

Hello Boyd,

SpaceClaim in many ways is similar to Solidworks as you still have model analytic tools, priced around the same mark, surface modelling tools etc.
However it also has some pretty unique features that we feel make it more suitable for all 3D Printing methods.
For instance you can skin STL meshes into surfaces making extremely useful for files received from a 3D Scanner, specify infill patterns and shapes, change the dimensions of many separate objects simultaneously and model multiple solids at once without having to make an assembly.

If you come along to the show we will be having workshops there from SpaceClaim themselves if you are interesting in seeing exactly how it would compare to other similar software.

Workshops? is there a timetable of the workshops during the day?
