Hello everyone. I’m really thinking about buying a Nobel 1, but I had a few questions. First, is there any possible way to use 3rd party resin? Like can you not pour it in one of their containers etc? Then I was just wondering if you like it more than FDM?
Hi. I’d say with my experience with the Nobel 1.0, it is all worth it with such perfect prints and great durability of the printed objects, although it is quite a hassle during the objects-supports removal. To this, I prefer the Nobel, an SLA printer, than any FDM printer, not to mention the price which has a range close to most FDM printers. Yes, you can use other-manufactured resin than XYZprinting’s, only not to be used in the same resin tank.
ok then post a print of nobel if is as you say . As for resins probably you can find but you must test them , to give you an example spot-a resins use in form1 specific settings otherwise they dont work again i will say sla is not fdm different technologies
Thanks for some great answers. I basically build replica props as a hobby, and I hate all the sanding and crap involved with FDM. I know the print size is small, but it isn’t that bad and if I need a bigger part, I can always glue it. I also know formlabs has a really strong resin they recently began selling. I mean I would think since they use the same tech (a laser to cure UV resin), the formlabs resins should work with the Nobel.
