Hey, so long story short, I’m looking to start on an ROV, which will be making contact with water regularly. There are joints on it that I plan on covering and sealing with NinjaFlex. So I’ve got some questions as to how to approach this.
Firstly, is NinjaFlex safe and durable in water? Reason I ask is because I’m aware that water affects plastics like PLA, but not ABS, due to their composition, and I don’t know how the TPU in the NinjaFlex reacts to that.
Secondly, is it possible to bond NinjaFlex to ABS? I’ve heard of people bonding ABS to ABS using friction welding, 3d pens, glues, and other sorts of practices, and so what I’m wondering is whether or not NinjaFlex behaves the same way, in terms of bonding. And furthermore, whether or not that bond is water-tight.
