Hi back story. Got first e er printer for christmas and after a few false starts got to printing. Not too bad out of the box but Thingiverse 20mm calibration cube showed some tweeking would be required. After a lot of help I finally got the PC talking to the printer and uploaded new firware that I can now tinker with. Anet A8 manual bed leveling Windows 7 32bit Cura 2.3.1 32bit Repetier Host 2.0.5 Marlin 1.1.8 Arduino 1.8.5 I did the manual calibration and reset the X,Y,Z,E steps and got an even worse cube than I started with. The two issues I see at present might be related or simply 2 things to sort. 1. After compiling sketch and uploading to printer (observed splash screen change and custom name on display so I presume this has worked) the X,Y & Z of X0, Y0, Z0 flash with “?” . When homed through the printer menu this becomes X-33, Y-10, Z0. These numbers never change but don’t appear to be getting stored anywhere either (unless I am looking in the wrong place). 2. When I compare the steps/mm in the configuration.h file with what is in the printer they do not match. Cura M501 gives X192.47, Y101…55, Z400.90, E115.61 Printer menu gives same so I reckon that’s what is in the printer however… Arduino Configuration.h that was compiled and uploaded is set for X100, Y100, Z400, E100. As noted above I don’t know if the two issues are linked or I am just blessed with total ignorance. Andrew
