I am in the market to buy a 3d printer for my business (CNC machine shop). We would be using this mainly to verify part complexity and possible prototype prints etc. We do not have 3D Printer experience, but I am not afraid to experiment and learn. I want a pinter that is highly reliable and produces “professional” quality prints (in the event a customer would like a prototype verified). I have had sample prints made from Makerbot 2x and 5th Generation, Airwolf Axiom and MakerGear M2.
I was just about to buy the Makerbot 5th Gen, but came across a lot of bad reviews that made me start reviewing more options. After reviewing the 3D Hubs Product Reviews, I am between the MakerGear M2 and the Zortrax M200. Any suggestions as to which printer to choose (kinda getting overwhelmed)? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Ya it’s a nice printer. I’ve been using a Makerbot Replicator School since the beginning of my sophomore year in highschool, so I guess almost a year now, and I’ve had to take the damn thing apart and fix it over half a dozen times. Its not a bad machine, its just not that great for its price.
