I have a couple of questions;
1) If you want to do a large 3D print and the platform can only fit part of it, can it be done in pieces and fitted together?
2) Can you print an object that has moving parts?
3) Can one of the extruders be swapped out for an engraver laser?
Thanks for any and all input.
Are you using a Flashforge printer? Because I have a Flashforge printer.
- Yes, it can definitely be done in pieces. When the pieces are to be fitted together, they can either be glued together by adhesive glues, or you can use screws to connect them together. That is, you can print screws and bolts on your own, and then connect the different pieces together with these screws and bolts. If you would like to know
- Yes, the printer can definitely print an object that has moving parts. In fact, I have printed bearings with this type of printer many times. To print bearings is, in fact, one of the methods for me to test the quality of a given 3d printer. That is, only when a 3d printer is able to print a bearing that is able to rotate, that I know that this 3d printer has high enough quality.
- Yes, in principle, I know that an engraver laser that is attached to the extruder of the printer will work. However, when it comes to how the engraver laser is supposed to be stapled to the extruder, I haven’t tried that myself. I can only see later as to how the engraver laser is supposed to be stapled.
