Hello to all and thanks in advance for help; hope to be able to help others in the future. Question: I would like to scan an object either with my Fuel3D scanner or NextEngine and use the scan as a tool or worksurface. In other words, instead of using my scan to directly develop an object, I want to use it to create surface I can add to other geometry to create a final product, possible merging two or more scans into one final geometry for CAM or printing. Any guidance is appreciated, thanks, ZB
Almost all CAD programs can load in an existing model, and then allow you to merge, add, subtract, and generally build on that object.
Thanks Perry. Scanning today, decided to use a Fuel3D scanner and Scanify Studio Adavaced software. It has a mirroring function that I think does what I need. Here goes…
