I have a very simple jpg that needs to be designed into a print ready obj file. I will then use 3D hubs to print but would need someone based in Shanghai for the printing side of the job. I can’t find a way on the site to get someone to do the file design and the printing. This is a rush job and I can pay via paypal. Anyone have a quote and timeline. Attached is the image I need turned into a obj The production version will have a round notebook inside of the “ripple” so it would be best if the prototype version can be hollowed and the base and can be opened/closed as you see in the bottom right of the photo . we would want it to be about 20cm wide and 5 to 6 cm tall.

Hey! I can prototype this for you. I offer modeling as part of my Hub… if you’re interested click my name and then view my Hub. Click on “Get a quote” to send an inquiry to talk about dimensions, etc. I can do the modeling here as part of a hub service, and then you can get it printed locally in Shanghai.

Hey Cotterpin. I went to your hub but I can’t actually contact you for an inquiry because I don’t have a 3D file. It’s really annoying. I have to have the file that I’m trying to get made to contact you. How can I go about getting a quote?

Actually, you don’t need to “Get a quote”, all you need to do is “Contact this Hub” and send a quick message to start the conversation…

No file needed to use the “Contact this Hub” option.

Hey Josh… sorry, I didn’t see this thread update right away. Hit me up via email, my email is Cotterpin3D@Gmail.com , it’ll be a bit easier until the chaos with their new system settles down!

You’re right. This whole new system they changed is too chaotic for new users… just ended up leaving my email instead to make things less complicated. Sigh.

Hey @Cotterpin and @Joshua_Maddox, sorry for picking up this late.

By now I hope things are already solved. Moving forward though, it’s good to keep in mind that any user can contact any Hub by accessing their Hub page and clicking on the Contact This Hub button, as @eckerj mentioned above.

Also, Joshua, next time you’ll need someone to help you with only with 3D modelling services, feel free to follow these steps:

1. Go to 3dhubs.com/3dprint and fill in your location

2. Under more options, choose 3D modelling (screen shot attached)

3. Click on a Hub → this will result in a pop-up screen dialogue

4. Click View Hub
5. Then contact / enquiry with the hub on the hub page

Admittedly, the checkout flow is optimised only for printing at the moment.

Hope this helps,
Gabriela
