OK, so this is the first time something like this happens:
I was printing a model, which I left overnight to finish building. Usually, when I do this, the printer goes into a standby mode that makes the extruder and the base cool down. Now, I left the printer doing this same thing with another project. When I got back to my lab the next day, the printer had stopped mid-way and the extruder and the base were both hot.
Now, whenever I start a project in the M2, it stops in the middle of the project no matter how big or small it may be.
Can anyone please help me solve this issue?
I’m not all that familiar with the Makergear series, but how do you upload the model to the printer? Over SD card, USB, or WiFi?
The fact that everything is still hot indicates to me that the printer is idling because it’s waiting for more data, almost like it was paused. This happens to me when my computer goes to sleep during a print, or if my WiFi network starts getting a bit choppy.
Yep sounds like a computer going to sleep or a usb cable problem.
or maybe the marlin board is over heating? Is the fan running in the electronics box?
If you are printing with an SD card, reformat it, https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter\_4/, not just windows formatter.
This is usually a sign of a corrupted SD card.
Also, printing while you sleep is dangerous as heck. You are extruding a flammable material. If you, for example, get a corrupt file or for some other reason your extruder stops moving, but the filament continues to extrude, you can easily burn your house down.

Have you tried to turn everything off disconnect and reconnect every cable again ? Try a different USB port and use print over USB option.
