A friend asked me if I could print something for him so I gave hin 3D hubs as a recomendation to better calculate the costs.
He had 4 models for a total of 15 printed pieces.
For some reason, even tho all the pieces are printable in my machine, I do not appear in the recommended Hubs, not even in the nearby hubs, nowhere in the results, eve tho I am capable of printing the pieces.
I have tested removing the big models from the order and then my Hub appears. It looks like it has to with the build plate of my printer.
How am I supposed to get customers if this search is so flawed?
This is sad, since I have been relying on 3D hubs for a long time and didn’t imagine I was getting so little costumers because of the recomendations based on the models.\
What can I do to have my Hub showing in the options?
Please, any help will be appreciated.

Hi Rodolfo,
Keep in mind that we take a 10% safety margin on the listed build volume of your printer. This means that when customers search for a potential Hub to printer their order at on the 3D print page after uploading a 3D model, we automatically filter out any printers that have a build volume (- 10%) that is smaller than the customer’s model. This is to protect both Hubs & potential customers from unnecessary declines and potential delays in the customer’s project.
Hope that clears up the confusion.

Yeah, It clarifies a lot, I imagined that filter exists.
I did this:
I re-added my printer as a custom, with the files the customer gave me. Now my hub appears on list.
I don’t know where to define the exact dimensions. I looked, but couldn’t figure where the option is.
Can you point me on where to define XYZ for a custom printrbot?
Also, I have another scenario:
If a customer is going to upload a file like that attached and it consists of many files in one single stl, it also excludes my machine and many others that might be capable of doing the job en more than 1 print, but, because the arrangement of objects exceeds the bed size they end up not seeing a lot of capable hubs in the results.
Please have a look at the file I attached. it is printable in my machine but my hub will not show up in the results. The stl need to be separated in the connected surfaces, and split them into separate printable files that allow accurate recomendations.
In this case we are talking about a feature that has not been added, am I correct?
Thanks for your time.
