Here is a strange problem: In the name of better serviceability down the road, I replaced the heater block, heat sink, heat break, and nozzle on my Monoprice Mini V2 with a E3D clone. in other words, I replaced the hotend except for the heater cartridge and thermistor, which are both perfectly functional. After I did this, the preheat went well when I inserted filament, but upon trying to print (PLA) with my usual profile (Bed 60, nozzle 210), the bed will not hold temperature any hotter than about 45, and the hotend temp is not too stable either.
After a few hours of frustration, I put the old parts back in and everything works perfectly again. How in the ^$&^ did the printer know the difference, since neither the heater nor the thermistor was replaced?? Anybody else ever encounter something like this?
