Hy Everybody,
i am going to buy soon a new printer that must be able to print two different materials, after a lot of research the choice is going to be between bcn3d-Sigma and Cel-Robox.
bcn3d-Sigma pro is the very large build volume but there is the risk that some materials will have stringing problems. Cel-Robox seems capable of almost perfect dual prints but have a very small build volume. Does any of you have a suggestion for my choiche?
Hi Elios,
I have a BCN3D Sigma and I don’t have any stringing problems with PLA and ABS. If you want I can print a sample

Ciao Roger,
thanks for your gentle advice, did you had the opportunity of testing the printer with long prints?
I downloaded Cura for Bcn3d Sigma and i noticed that complex objects that occupy the whole build area can take even 110 hours using the dual material (Speed 50 - 1.6 wall - 20% fill). Have you tried such long prints?
Every advice is welcome
The longest print has been 75 hours with PLA+PVA without any problem. You only have to take care of empty the purging deposit every 15-20 hours. It’s a very solid machine with good mechanical components. You will love the Sigma.

Thanks a lot Roger,
your indications are very helpful for me
best regards
I have a CEL Robox and now need more capacity so am buying another one - without hesitation. I don’t want to print very large parts in one go, and I like the nice product design and fantastic support from the guys at CEL. The dual head isn’t released to the wild yet, but it is eagerly anticipated and is being thoroughly tested by the Beta Testers.
Couldn’t recommend the Robox highly enough, but I admit without experience of any others. For the price, it’s getting me a lot of work on 3D hubs, and I have some fantastic feedback on quality from my customers.

@Wellmeadow thank you very much for sharing your experience,
what attract me from Robox is the 100% no stringing extruder with every material, this is a key feature for dual material printing.
what keep me doubtful is the small print area, since i need to print larger objects and also the fact that we really do not know when the dual material head is going to be available on the market.
Hello,
i want to sell my BCN3D Sigma. I bought it 2 months ago and I’m very satisfied with the machine and the results.
It has full guarantee and is in a very good condition. I sell it because I didn’t use it that much and have to focus on
my “normal” job
If you are interested you can PM me.
Best Regards.

Hi Everyone,
Very interested in this printer. How about the noise levels on this thing?
Hi,
the Sigma is louder than the Ultimaker 2 for example.
I wouldn’t recommend to run this printer in your living space. Better at office. But maybe you could speak to BCN3D if changing the fans may help. If you are interested in buying, you can send me a pm.
Best regards

In the rich rap review on youtube you can hear the printer being turned on, seems not the most silent printer.
Richrap’s Sigma is a prototype. The present Sigma is noticeably quiter
