Hey guys,

Just got this printer for my bro for the holidays. Set up was fine and the prints of the SD card are good. However, I cannot print via USB. I have used several versions of cura (15.04.x) and they do connect and heat up the extruder and bed but the printer will not start. I have also tired directly using slic3r and pronterface and it connects heats up but again will not start the print.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello Auzyboy,

did you try Simplify 3d?

this is a universal slicer and has to be preset to work on your printer.

in case of CURA, did you feed in all the data and info regarding your printer presetting?

Have you tried using an SD card? Because my laptop won’t fit on my printer table, I transfer the gcode files to the micro SD card that came with the printer.

Before I print I heat up the extruder and load the filament until some comes out. Then I turn off the preheating and use the print menu to choose the file.

I’ve been told that you shouldn’t put your files unto a folder. It only checks the top level.
