Hello members of 3d hubs, I am reaching out to you today as I am faced with a dilemma. Just recently I have assembled a Monoprice Maker Select V2 printer that was received during Christmas. It seemed to have gone together alright, and I assumed it would be fairly simple to begin making prints. Apparently, I was wrong. I have tried to calibrate and re-level the bed and z-axis countless times, but am still ending up with failed prints. The prints will seem to be progressing smoothly, but will eventually fail. The extruder constantly moves away from the project area a lot for some inexplicable reason, and as a result it drags out an extended stringy line of PLA which either attaches to the extruder nozzle area or the project itself and ends up creating a mess of melted filament. Another problem would be the extruder melting/snapping off the filament as it rolls it through. I would be adding another problem consisting of the filament not sticking to the surface of the heated bed, but after some re-leveling and Cura setting revisions, this problem seems to be fixed. I am a complete beginner when it comes to 3d printers and would appreciate any advice or help to fix this situation. Thanks in advance!
P.S. I am also printing via a USB cable if that may be a problem itself(Windows 8.1).
