Hi, I have a Zonestar P802QR2. It has an automatic ‘Home’ function where it automatically goes to the limit switches on the X, Y & Z axes. But that puts the Z onto the bed at the bottom of it’s stroke, and because the Z is powered via lead screws you can’t forcibly move it like you can the belt driven axes.

Is there a way to modify the motherboard options to add the option of, ‘Go to top Z limit switch’?

The short answer is yes, if you can flash the motherboard with Marlin firmware. I believed the Zonestar use the Melzi 2.0board, which is an option in Marlin. You can set the nozzle to 10mm above the middle of hotbed.
