The Idea came from my wife who requested a Marvin pendant. The whole size Marvin is too bulky so I halved/split the Marvin in two half’s. It turned out to make a nice 3D logo.

STL files are on Marvin Pendants by tutuemma - Thingiverse

I managed this by

  1. importing marvin into sketchup 8.
  2. Then insert a 2mm thick rectangular plane across the 3D model.
  3. Intersect/combine the two objects.
  4. Delete and clean up the half not wanted.
  5. Select the newly created Marvin and export to STL.

Printing in two color is achieved by changing filament at 2mm Height.

Printed on soon to be launched suitcase 3D printer

Hubbers with a sense of humor would also want to print Marvin backwards. Now who deserves Marvin’s bottom?!

Nice! Next step is to make earrings;)
