I operate and maintain a MB Rep 2 as a part of the FIRST robotics team at school (4458 for the curious) and noticed that when trying to print some pulleys, I got mushy layers while it printed. I decided the temperature was way too high (it was 230), and lowered my temperature to 190. Then I was reminded of why I had it so high to begin with: this printer cannot sustain an extruder temperature, while printing or even just on preheat. My fisrt insticnt is power supply, I think that the extruder just isnt recieving enough power. I don’t know how many hours this printer has endured, but I know it has been in use at a school for more than four years. I’ll be looking for poor contections on the power to the hotend tomorrow, its a bit late to start that project now, but would love some thoughts.
