Heya,

Do you have any any experience with Tinkercad? You’d be able to easily make that remixing this Thingiverse file - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:151505

I’m a complete rookie…that’s the kind of thing i’m after but I have no idea how to remix or edit this file

Do you need them designed or just printed? You could use that Thingiverse file and take into into autodesk 123d (it has lots of versions, meshmixer would probably be the one to use) and add your text objects to it.

probably designed and printed…I’ve just tried using tinkercad but I think it would take me too long to learn all the tools…

I could probably do that for you, I use a form1+ (it’s actually on the blink at the moment but hopefully I’ll have a replacement in the next 48 hours). What sort of price were you thinking? As a rough estimate if I was to do the design and printing (and it would be a hollow print - far too expensive to print solid, and also likely to fail) it would probably be in the £150 to £250 range, on the plus side the surface quality is much better than FDM style printers. I also work with a jeweller so could have them molded and cast in metal (even gold plated if you had the budget to go that far).

Hey @Toddmichael, is this a project you’re able to offer advice and expertise on?

i’d love cast metal rings…

Hello all, how can I help? I see the ring on thingiverse, only questions I have are finger sizes and I can definitely help. Finger sizes metal.choices and quality of finish

i’d have to go to a jewellers tomorrow to get my fingers sized

i’m not really too fussed about which metal…I would like them gold coloured

i’m not sure what is meant by quality of finish

if possible i’d like to get 2 different pairs of rings

1 pair Love & Hate

1 pair STY SRG

Hi

My Jewellery person works in base and precious metals, so brass or bronze, silver or gold, I would go plated not solid if you want gold or silver (unless you have £7 or £8 grand in your skyrocket!). As I said earlier for resin prints + design work around £250 top price, but to cast them in metal after that you can easily double the price to the £500-£600, more if you go for the plating. That would would be price per pair (and they are ball park prices).

Hello Masonic;

Any luck with finger sizes yet?

From a cost standpoint yellow bronze will be the most economical, these are going to have some weight to them. Since they are being made for the look and actual use, maybe just get two finger sizes instead of all 4, so index and ring finger. Let the middle and baby finger float.

Keep me posted. Curious where are you at?

Toddmichael
