I am working with a MakerGear M2 Printer and I tried to print out the attached file but it just doesn’t print out well, at all. This is the third time we have tried printing it. The object is too big so we had to scale it. Can anyone help me on how to make this model print out well?

What is the scale you are printing and which Slicer?

RepetierHost is some good free software. I use it with my m2 and while I do like some of the features of Simplify3d, RepetierHost is my go-to for its ease of use and the slicing options. Its worth a try!

What is the original size and how much have you scaled it down by? I’m thinking that the wings might be too thin to reliably print. The same could happen to the legs. It might be better to break it into parts and print each separately.

had a look at your print file and agree with RCole - the wings are quite thin for any printer to handle. Simplify 3D has lots of parameters to select for different kinds of prints. Did you select automatic support? I would also set the fill at 100% because the wings are so thin. Temperature of the hot end is important and you may want to try setting the cooling fan around 60% for this print. For tricky shapes it also helps to slow down the print motion. I added these lines to my starting script and get consistently great prints.
