Hi everyone,
Does anyone have a metal 3D printer in Australia where I can pay per part? I am investigating the possibility of printing small complex parts in metal rather than ‘traditional’ manufacturing because these parts are too complex and would be very expensive to CNC for example.
I know University of Adelaide and RMIT, CSIRO have them but are there any commercial or service bearues that have them? (prefer Adelaide but anywhere in Aus is ok).
Cheers for any help
Andrew

There’s 333d in Melbourne. They have a SLM printer primarily for titanium parts (and then, primarily for medical implants). You could always give them a shot! Ask for Dejan (Dean) if you can, really smart bloke and knows a lot about SLM printing.

Ok thanks, I’ll try them cheers
Hi andrew, did you find someone to help you?
Hi printingguy, not really I tried to contact 333D but no response, any ideas?
I’m literally about to head to 333D in an hour or two, do you want to PM me your number Andrew and I’ll get someone to give you a ring? They are difficult to catch on the phone as the team is only tiny, if they’re working on the printers you will quite often not get through with a phone call as there will be no one in the office!
Hi jbainsey,
That’s ok a few minutes after I posted that I got a call back, so all good, thanks for the offer.
Cheers

http://www.amaero.com.au/ is the commercial offshoot of the Monahsh/CSIRO collaboration. They’re probably as good as anyone in Aus but take your chequebook!
Yeah they look pricey haha thanks
