I am wanting to have a 3D printed life-size Clawfoot Bathtub that is sturdy enough to put three 5 gallon beer kegs and ice into. Is that possible, and if so, how would you even go about doing such a thing? I have never done any 3D printing before, so I am completely new to this game. Thanks for any help/advice!

That would take a custom printer that could handle large prints, otherwise you would have to break it up into parts and that would cause some leaking problems. Maybe this site would help

I can almost guarantee it will be cheaper to find an actual Clawfoot bathtub than to find someone with a printer large enough to print such a thing. Printing one will be hundreds if not thousands of dollars to produce, especially if you dont already have a CAD model of it. You should be able to find a clawfoot bathtub online for fairly cheap. Look at Craigslist and similar “used” item marketplaces!

Why do you want to do this?

I can guarantee that it will be cheaper to just buy a clawfoot tub, or a 3 tap kegerator for that matter. 3D printing a clawfoot bathtub that big will cost thousands to tens of thousands of dollars, and misses the point of 3D printing. 3D printing is not cheaper than conventional mass produced items, and won’t be for at least another decade or two. The value of 3D printing today is primarily prototyping things that don’t already exist, or making things that can’t be made any other way (i.e. a ball inside a ball), or customizing something for a specific reason (custom fit prosthetics.)
