Hi,
I’m thinking of placing an order for some resin parts (i’ve only a filament printer atm), but when I upload a file, I don’t get to request the layer thickness/resolution. Is there a standard layer thickness/resolution for parts printed in resin on 3d hubs. Also, its there a standard thickness/resolution for filament printers? Many thanks Damian

Hey @DSmyth, there isn’t a “standard layer thickness/resolution” for parts printed in resin. You can however choose the resolution after selecting a Hub:

Hey @DSmyth,
Our Hub does a lot of resin printing and would be happy to help you out! In general, the layer thickness should range from 100-25 microns depending on the printer and the resin.
Filament printers tend to be more varied, depending on the size of the printer some can have extremely coarse resolution (PartDaddy prints 3mm thick layers). In general, most consumer 3D printers will print in the resolution range of 100-300 microns.
