Helping Fab Lab Hub 3D Print prosthetic hands for kids and adults
https://socialseam.org/events/19
What happens when you mix 3D Printing with Crowdsourcing to help people who need prosthetic hands?
You change people’s lives!
Join Kendall Square-based 3D Microfactory at a fundraiser they are hosting to purchase 3D Printers, materials, and related tools for volunteers in the Cambridge area to create life-altering hands for kids and adults in need of a prosthetic at no cost. The benefit for the non-profit Fab Lab Hub features foods, wine & beer, and live music by Rob Flax, Lonesome Lee West and other musician friends in the Venture Cafe space at CIC at 1 Broadway in Cambridge on May 1 from 6:30 to 10 p.m.
As a special treat, contributors can virtually meet with kids from around the country to learn how their 3D Printed hands have impacted school, play and family. Contributors get discounts at local businesses including Bite Kite, Charles River Canoe & Kayak, Boston BonBon, Atlas Coffee Club, 7 on Centre Holistic Health & Wellness, Lure, Mother Juice, Shawn’s Studio, and many more!
While the suggested contribution for the May 1 event is $20, you can contribute the amount of your choice.
Sign up today as space is limited to change a life with 3D Printing.
