i have a project that is outside diameter about 16" at its largest. Anyone know of a printer in the Boston Area that can handle such a job? thank you

I assume the item absolutely needs to be printed in one piece? Digital slicing and gluing two or more pieces together is a no go?

What type of material do you need it printed in? We have Projet 660Pro Printers and their bed is 10x15x8. Depending on the size it may fit on a diagonal measure which may accommodate 16". Or, maybe you can trim your model down a bit.

Let us know.

I’ve printed larger than 16 inches but in multiple pieces. You won’t allow the hub to break it up into multiple pieces and then glue together? If it needs to be strong the “breaking apart” should be done in such a way to have large overlaps (good contact area) like velcro belts. That’s probably not clear but the point is you don’t have to sacrifice strength just because it is split up into smaller parts.

My build areas is 200x300 so I could likely print your job in two parts with a single cut. Im not sure if that is practical for the model you want though

we can help you out. Our building envelope is 10x 10x 12. The piece would have to be sectioned somewhere, but the material glues together well and there are ways of hiding the seam. I can be reached at

We are located in Southern NH. Salem, NH to be exact… right on the Mass. Border. For Sandstone we quote $1.00 cm3.

We’re located in the Somerville/ Cambridge area. I’d be happy to help you out. Our printer can handle a 10x10x12 inch envelope. We usually piece large parts and hide the seams if that would work for you. Fast turnaround. Look for Juan’s hub to see our reviews. Thanks,

I am located in San Diego California…I can print close to a meter cubed, plenty of room to print your part in one piece. I also have discounted shipping rates to be able to get the part to you at a reasonable price.

If interested contact me through my Hub. Good luck and happy printing! =)
