Hi all,
currently I am considering to sell my 3DR printer and go for a Rostock MAX V2.
But is there really a market for taller prints on 3D Hubs?
Sometimes I think it would by more intelligent to go for a smaller printer rather than going bigger.
Are there an Rostock max users out there?
If yes: Are there enough orders to justify the expense?
Any help is highly appreciated
Cheers,
Joerg

Not sure, haven’t seen too many myself
Hey,
I don’t have a Rostock Max myself, but we do have a Witbox in the office that has a huge build volume. Larger prints are definitely a bit trickier, but it opens up a lot more options of what you are capable of printing. For example, larger scale architectural models and master molds for casting, both of which are ordered fairly often. I think it really depends on how you market it yourself, If you decide to go with the Rostock for an upgrade I would definitely then list larger prints as a specialty of your hub. They also print small things just fine.

Hi @Alex3DHubs
thanks for your reply. Very interesting that you are working with a Witbox. How does it perform? I heard that it isn’t very reliable…
Regarding the Rostock your statement helps a lot, thank you.
@Filemon thank you. For future investments it would be really helpful if 3Dhubs were able to launch cooperations with printer companys. Something like the ColorFabb discount but for printers and spare parts - I’m just dreaming
Cheers,
Joerg
