I am doing my bachelor thesis on 3D printing and i am searching for new lightweight designs.
Can anybody tell me if they ever tried injecting a PU foam into a hollow print for more strength and stifness? and how you would think about doing that?

Not heard someone do it, not sure if it would be feasible to add it via an extra “3d print”-controlled nozzle. It is also possible to stop the 3d print, and fill with foam, and then continue to seal it.
