Hi @Cuibaru_Cristia, nice to see you back on Talk Hope your project turned out ok!
What type of phone case did you have in mind? There’s a wide range of materials fit for this - here’s what one of my colleagues, @, did for his phone: Talk Manufacturing | Hubs
Hello, I would recommend ABS plastic. It is more durable than PLA, and it flexes more, so you could print a snap fit case with it.
Good luck,

ABS is cheap, durable, and is some give (installing/removing phone). I would suggest nylon over ABS, since it can flex better and absorb more of the forces exerted when a phone hits the ground (hopefully won’t happen!). It also leaves a glossy finish that feels awesome.
ABS is the best for this as you can easy flex it for easy to removable and install. Another good material is ninjaflex as its impact resistant and very flexible. But ABS is cheaper.
You can print in ABS at my hub for a very cheap price, I can ship it to you as well.

Hi there! If you want an exotic color, you might want to go with PLA/PHA. It isnt as brittle as pla and available in a wide variety of colors (over 30 colors). Alternately “xt” would be better, then ABS, it doesn’t warp, meaning that it holds on to tolerances. Also XT has a lot better layer bonding, ABS can break easier along the layers. XT is as flexible as abs, but a lot more durable and has a shiny color (12 colors to choose from). Nylon is also fairly strong, but it can soak up water (up to 25% for some nylons) the water intake weakens the print. Nylon can only be colored by dying it before printing and the colors aren’t as even as with other printing materials. Ninjaflex is a rubber-like material, suitable for soft cases. Ninjaflex is available in 12 colors. Alternatively to ninjaflex you might want to concider semiflex. Semiflex is a tiny bit stiffer and less grippy compared to ninjaflex (just a little bit). Semiflex is only available in 4 colors, but it is better in shock absorption, compared to ninjaflex. Ninjaflex is more “bouncy” so your smartphone may jump off the ground if you drop it. My personal preferences are XT and Ninjaflex. Both are long lasting and available in many colors. If you want to get a quote for pricing you can contact me on my hub : www.3dhubs.com/siegen/hubs/marius Just click on the link and start an enquiry or an order. I don’t have all colors in stock, but I can get every color you want upon demand. Kind regards, Marius Breuer

One time ninjaflex, one time “XT”. Both were perfect birthday gifts, with custom engravings on the back (one of which was a batman logo, the other was a dual color text)
Hi @Cuibaru_Cristia,
According to our experience, the best iphone cases we ever printed were flexible ones (as they are easy to put after printing on your phone). Since flexible materials are quite expensive, we sell them by meter in our shop: http://3dbranches.com/product-category/filaments/
Tell us if you have futher questions. Good luck in your 3d printing!
